I'd guess 'Slashy Santa' wasn't a problem because, whether we celebrate it or not, Christmas happens at the same time all over the world? The same can't be said for summer *g*. As for it being 'just a word'... I think the point I was trying to make is that something called the Summer Heat Fic Swap (god, that's awful) would seem beyond strange to me in darkest July.
