I'm very happy you like this :) I must thank you for the request - I don't think I would have written this on my own, and it would have been a shame. I'm very fond of this story.

I like trying out of the box things, and making his work the third party appealed to me very much. The actual time placement went through several shifts until it settled on 'after'. It's an intriguing time that doesn't have that many stories, you are right.

Hal and Dan in this balance each other very well. Hal takes care of the people he loves most, and is very loyal to them. It would be very difficult to leave Elladan behind, he had made promises to family and that would come before his new lover, but they both had duties leading them elsewhere. I do believe they met up in the end at Valinor and the connection they had was still there and very strong.

I can't take all the credit for the word 'gossamer'. Kei first used it in regards to her Elrond and it painted such a picture for me that I quite liked the idea the twins inherited their hair from him. ;)
