SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I got my story from you! Wow! That is wonderful! You have written Melpomaen just the way I love him - sweet, shy and adorable, but with a great inner strength and a will of his own. I like him paired with Glorfindel - a nice contrast in the physical and two souls very fitting for each other. Poor Mel having suffered so much, the rescue was captivating me. I like it how they all contributed to the rescue and all worried about Mel and tried to help and assure him. Elrond and Erestor as a side pairing is very nice, as well. And then Mel having his family back and a new little sister, and Tinnu and Malthen being there as well ( I love those cats), it seems too good to be true, but such is the time of Yule (especially with the betrothal and marriage on this occasion - I had to giggle how you described that development)! This is such a beautiful story, thank you very much for this wonderful Yule-present! *hugs you tight*
