introductory post

I've just joined slashy_santa and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm married with 3 kids, one grandchild and 2 cats. I started writing in the JRR Tolkien fandom in 2005 and although I prefer to write original fic I also dabble in RPS--specifically in the football (soccer) fandom. Yes, I might be a granny but I do not consider myself 'old'!

Besides writing I love to travel, immerse myself in gardening when I have the time, take long walks in the park and take lots of photos. Oh, and read of course. Currently my favourite books are the 'Song of Ice and Fire' series by George RR Martin, including his 'Hedge Knight' series of novellas that pre-date ASOIAF by 100 years.

One of my favourite TV series is 'Being Human' (the British one) and I've just started to write in that fandom as well. ;)

I'm very much looking forward to the MySlashyValentine fic swap. :)
