Administrivia: BETA NEEDED, plus archive uploading set to private
Heya folks!
Believe it or not, we have our first completed story for Ardor in August 2009!!! Amazing!!
Our intrepid writer is in search of a beta... If you are interested and available, please email me at slashysanta@gmail.com so that I can put you in touch with each other.
Secondly, since we've got at least one story nearing completion, I'm going to set the archive back on moderated status. That means that when you upload a story, it will NOT be visible on the site until I've approved it. That way, the early birds who are ready to post won't have to worry about over-eager readers getting a pre-August peek! :P
If you still need to upload your stories from previous exchanges, feel free to do so-- just email me or leave a comment here to let me know that you have posted an OLD story, and I will approve it right away.

1) Log in in the upper right hand corner of the home page. This should take you to your Member Account page.
2) Click "Add New Story"
3) Fill out the story submission form. All fields marked with a red star are mandatory. If you'd like to include the original request/prompt, you can paste it into the "Story Notes" section. That's also a good place to stick any author's notes, to thank your Beta, etc.
4) Click on the appropriate category ("2009 My Slashy Valentine," "2006 Slashy Santa," etc.) and then click the little right arrow button to select it.
5) Click on the appropriate character names, genres, and warnings to highlight them. To highlight multiple things, hold down the CTRL key while you click.
6)The actual text of the story itself gets pasted into the "Story Text" field. (It has a red star).
7) NOTA BENE! You can use the preview function to see how your story looks before you submit, but on some browsers, it may cause bits of your text to appear in weird places on the screen. I haven't figured out how to correct this yet, but DON'T PANIC! Odds are, it's just a digital gremlin and it will look absolutely fine when you hit "Submit," but since the archive is currently set to private, I have to manually validate each story that comes in, and I will take a look at it and make sure it doesn't look wonky before I let it go live.
