I really do realize your concerns, sign-ups lasting only a week is very short. I'd like everyone to have a chance to sign up. But they did vote for a Valentine swap, and it took time for Kenaz and I to sort out how to run things while her RL is difficult, though.

How would you suggest the timeline, putting aside the announcement and just considering the factors of the time for signups, making the assignments and still leaving sufficient writing time for the participants?
