Hi Lisser, I got your message and will reply to that too.

I must say that I don't usually write Haldir except by request but I'm begining to see the possibilites with him.

I would say that some of his desire was magically induced but most of it was Sauron lowering the barriers of his repression and giving him permisison to do what he'd always been told was wrong.

It's funny, both my betas said they'd never look at a pineapple the same way either. And now whenever I think about pineapple, Sauron comes to mind. Probably ruined me for life. ;-)

It's funny about me and Oshun because our takes on Haldir are different and yet similar in that he is drawn into a situation he's been wanting to try for a long time. I can't say that either of our stories informed the other but I know I enjoyed reading her version immensely and hoped mine, though not as in depth, would be as compelling in its way.
