Glorfindel knew the danger and yet went anyway. That which is hidden is often found whether by design or by accident and both must have rued the decision to go to Gondolin when all was falling apart around them.

I also liked the way you wrote their lovemaking; hardly any gentleness and it is more realistic for that.
